The Mighty Tatzelwurm

When I wrote the original Tatzelwurm game a few years ago, I was still trying to  publish games that used well-known rule systems. I like roleplaying games, and I like creating material for them. I thought I had to publish games that used rules „everyone knows“. In reality, I had been playing freeform games since 1984, and I also played my published games that way.

Then, I decided to write down the methods we use at the table. And it was glorious and liberating. A short while later, we founded the original FKR Discord server (the one that started it all), and suddenly, more and more players wanted to try this style of play, or they remembered how good it felt when they played rpgs that way.

This is an FKR game. It uses, in very rough form, the pbtA 2d6 mechanics (but no moves, thankyouverymuch). It also uses structures (like Aspects, for instance) from Michael Kennedy’s Weirdways Universal System.
